India is battling COVID-19 from the past 4–5 months. Strategies involving lockdown, converting regions of different cities into containment zones, increasing the testing capacities are some prominent measures that have been implemented on a larger scale. Now, as the country is going through different versions of Unlock, we have seen a surge in coronavirus cases all across the country. These cases may be attributed to increasing testing infrastructure being developed in the country, but not all. We may feel lucky until the time comes when the testing fraternity comes to our home for COVID-19 testing.

Coronavirus 2020

Coronavirus hai Dekha Jayega

People are moving without masks in public places, and in some areas, we cannot observe social distancing. I was going through a social meme being viral on different platforms which says “Coronavirus has reached a stage in India where it only means Dekha jayega.” We may not agree fully with this meme. Still, yes, I doubt the stage may be near where we will be carefree about the deadly trend of the Coronavirus pandemic. More than 1000 deaths are being reported daily; still, we don’t care about the pandemic. I am really surprised actually, the virus which can be killed with the help of washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds; we still are discovering a vaccine for it. The vaccine may not come early as per WHO so precautions are the only measures that can save us.

COVID-19 Impact

Talking about the impact of the virus, many salaried people have been laid off by the top companies all over the country. Some may justify the fact that it is a standard measure, but we know the reality behind it. Some business has been terminated completely while some have seen such a negative trend that they feel difficult to overcome after the pandemic has ended. Depression and suicides are the side effects of this pandemic. People who have been stuck at home may have loved family time for some time, but now inside, they fell depressed. Most of the losses in the business have urged the people to commit suicides as for some this feels to be a permanent solution. Fear has instigated many of us, and this havoc seems to be never-ending.

Masks and Sanitizers: New Normal Trend

Well, this pandemic will come to an end, but we don’t know when? Let’s start talking about mental health issues and also interact with our friends and relatives who have been laid or whose businesses have suffered to make them feel better. These are tough times, and being together, we can overcome this for sure. Also, let’s wear masks whenever we go in public places as considering it as a New Normal trend. Follow social distancing and carry an alcohol-based sanitizer whenever we are traveling. Unlock doesn’t mean the pandemic is ending, it’s just an effort by the government to restart the economy and business that have shared huge losses during the lockdown. Let’s battle this pandemic out and overcome it someday with flying colors.

Stay Safe! Stay Healthy! Go out have fun with masks and social distancing!
