Fears can bring a drastic change in the life of an individual. They can make a person sick, depressed, emotionally unstable, or may even lead to death in severe cases. COVID-19 fears are spreading across the nation and are troubling the top minds involved in developing a cure. People fear to trust others and do not believe in their family members when it comes to coronavirus. It is right to some extent but can we have this for such a long time? We understand wearing social masks and follow social distancing is new normal; will it be there all our lives? I doubt it but the virus is here to stay and has plans to stay for a long time.

Coronavirus Testing Kit

A recent statement by the WHO chief saying “the world should be ready for another pandemic”. This means we are heading towards a future where pandemics will be common and we would never dream of a pandemic free world. The virus responsible for COVID-19 is still not over, we may on the verge of another virus which may be severe and will have an impact more than coronavirus on our lives.

Fears are spreading and we do not want to go out of our homes. But this is an interim solution, we have to go out and face this virus without fear in our eyes. We have to accept we need to wear masks and follow social distancing to curtail the spread of this growing virus. A simple fine of ₹ 500 for not wearing masks is not the solution to this problem. Strict guidelines need to be implemented today and even if required in the post-COVID-19 era. Regulatory authorities need to come in action to save the lives of the people who can get infected by this virus easily. It is our collective responsibility to understand the threat and take the necessary steps to prevent ourselves from getting infected even if we are going out to work or for some leisure activity.

Let separate myths from knowledge acquired about this virus. The government is taking necessary measures and we should also support our leaders in combating this pandemic. At the same time, if some of the leaders running the nation are found breaking the rules, they should also be penalized as per rules and regulations of the Disaster Act currently implemented in the nation.

Coronavirus Testing is being conducted on large scales and we are observing a daily surge in our cases. Most of the patients are asymptomatic so we will not know whether the person sitting beside us is a suspected case. Let us follow a focused approach to prevent ourselves and others from getting infected with this virus.

I can write more and more but this much I feel is need of the hour to prevent coronavirus spread. Wear masks, follow social distancing, and carry an alcohol-based sanitizer in our pockets. Also, avoid touching our hands on our face and nose.

Stay Safe! Stay healthy! Wear Masks! Follow Social Distancing.
